Within the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness, provides HR advice/expertise, strategic planning, and project management services to ministry client groups, primarily servicing the Assistant Deputy Minister level on a variety of HR topics such as leadership development; organizational design and change; employee engagement, diversity / equity / inclusion; with a specific focus on strategic labour relations. Develops, monitors, and evaluates human resources impacts associated with achieving ministry strategic transformation plans; recommends changes in organizational capacities and competencies, and organizational design. Facilitates the union-management meetings on Health & Safety, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and active labour relations issues. Liaises with centralized shared service HR partners such as talent management, disability accommodations and labour relations to collaborate on solving critical HR issues. Facilitates leadership discussions and Deputy Minister Briefings on grievances, Workplace Diversity and Harassment Prevention, Disclosure of Wrongdoing, and Conflict of Interest. Advises on communication plans for re-organizations and facilitates implementation. Advises clients on recruitment and talent strategy, span of control and FTE/budgeting guidelines.
