About Elie Saad
As a global business executive, I’ve focused on optimizing business performance by leveraging a strategic mindset, business experience and a disciplined approach that comes from a technical and scientific background. I started my career as a scientist progressing from Senior Physicist to R&D Manager. During that time, I nurtured my love of innovation and was awarded several patents in my field. My skillset evolved as I took on broader business, operational and global roles. I had the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally in turning operations around, integrating acquisitions and expanding organizational footprint; always while ensuring a safe workplace. As a multicultural leader having both lived overseas and traveled extensively, I directed teams throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East/Asia giving me a global perspective. I’ve been able to quickly adapt to cultural norms and have learned to appreciate diverse points of view. While completing my doctorial education, I had a great Professor who inspired me to mentor others throughout my career. In addition to mentoring talent, I strive to create environments that are team-oriented and enable people to develop and thrive; where people can discuss issues openly and productively. Outside of work, I volunteer my time with young children in an after-school program. I’m also a Member of the Board of the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, helping to maintain the natural beauty of Western Pennsylvania.
