Senior payments professional with more than 15 years of experience in the Payments and FinTech industry. I combine technical, business, and leadership skills to deliver innovative and scalable payment solutions for merchants and financial services firms alike. I have knowledge and experience in- Leading teams across continents- Running RFPs to select payment service providers (PSP). Following procurement best practices - Negotiating PSP contracts with PSPs, acquiring banks (acquirers) and fraud engines including: transaction pricing, API response time, support structure, Service Level Agreements (SLA), Data Processing Agreements (DPA for GDPR), PCI DSS compliance- Leading payment implementation projects from initiation to closure- Designing end-to-end payment solutions for eCommerce and physical/offline retail stores- Designing marketplace payment solutions that connect merchants, sellers and buyer on the same platform. Including automated payment splitting, payout and reporting to sellers- Designing PSP and alternative payment methods integrations throughout the payments journey. Online and in-store checkout, payment authorization and fraud management, settlement (capture), returns and refunds, chargeback processing, financial reporting- Building physical stores infrastructure and network segmentation to stay PCI compliant- Designing mPOS solutions- Documenting the designed solution and APIs. Including process charts, UML diagramming, system landscape overviews, data flow, webservice requests and responses- Working with accounting teams on automating the settlement and reconciliation processes. i.e. receiving settlement files from payment providers or acquirers and reconciling them against the open invoices/documents in the financial systems (e.g SAP FI)- Setting up and training payment support and operation organizations- Consulting the payment analytics team on how to receive the raw payments data from 3rd parties. In addition, I have worked- With investment firms on reviewing and assessing payment providers of major airlines to pave the way for a successful merger- With an automotive company to assess its strategy to become a licensed payment institution- With an airport operator to assess their payment setup and help them setup a payments organization. I have hands-on experience with different payment service providers and fintech firms like Adyen, Stripe, Checkout.com, PayPal, ACI, CyberSource. In addition, I have had to work with more than 50 acquiring banks and alternative payment methods worldwide.
