I’m Eli Berkowitz — a lifelong creative, a survivor, and a servant leader.With over four decades of photography experience, I’ve owned and operated studios in New York and Philadelphia, and today serve as the Grand Photographer for the Grand Lodge of New Jersey. My camera has captured thousands of moments — weddings, portraits, fraternal ceremonies, and community milestones — but my life behind the lens took a dramatic turn in 2023.A severe work accident left me in a coma, on a ventilator, with 62 days in the hospital. What followed was a year-long journey through rehab, recovery, and rediscovery. With the love of my wife, the support of my Masonic brethren, and the strength of faith and community, I not only survived — I came back stronger.Today, I use my voice and experience to inspire others facing adversity. Through my upcoming memoir, “Every Day Is a Better Day”, public speaking, and programs like “Hospitals at Home”, I help people transform hardship into healing, and doubt into drive.
