With a proven track record of execution under pressure including the rapid deployment of pioneering technology and turnarounds of high-risk programs, he brings results-focused leadership to the forefront of federal science strategy.Dr. Peretz is a scientist, explorer, and storyteller whose life’s work centers on one profound truth: space and Earth are inseparably linked in time, matter, and destiny. His research traces how the cosmos shapes life on our planet, from asteroid impact craters and the solar wind to cosmic rays and interstellar dust, providing clues for the habitability of faraway worlds. Dr Peretz is the founder of “Heavens on Earth”, an organization dedicated to illuminating and sharing the inspiring connections between life on Earth and space.For his work, Dr. Peretz was awarded NASA\'s Exceptional Technology Achievement Medal, NASA’s Exceptional Achievement Medal, NASA\'s Exceptional Engineering Achievement Medal, NASA\'s Early Career Achievement Medal, NASA’s Robert H. Goddard Honor Award, NASA’s Excellence Award for Early Career. And earlier in his career was selected as NASA Space Technology Research and a National Science Foundation Fellow.Dr. Peretz received his Ph.D. in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and Applied Physics from Cornell University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion.
