Leader of \"Capability Development\" team - we design one-off and low volume test systems to support the reliability and test lab requirements for the vehicle and humanoid robot platforms. Design scope ranges from single component fixtures up through full lab design. Specialties include crash-test lab propulsion systems, chassis and powertrain durability test fixturing, hardware in the loop test system design for steer-by-wire, outriggers for high-speed vehicle dynamics testing, closures cycling, high voltage battery structures, rapid prototyping, custom tooling and intern mentoring. Work feels like play, and Tesla offers an immense playground.

ABOUT ELI MARLIN

Currently supporting Tesla’s vehicle reliability and test team. Our team develops bespoke engineered solutions for the hardware test engineers across all vehicle systems. Former life: Systems Engineer, specializing in AMI / SmartGrid networks. This line of work is quite fascinating, and provides opportunities to develop solutions to meet technical and logistical challenges relating to the deployment of SmartGrid mesh networks for the electric utility sector. In this role, I work with customers to solve their most challenging radio network deployment problems in environments ranging from dense urban environments to extreme rural. When not in the field, I work in the lab on new product development. Specialties- RF network testing, deployment and analysis - Radio troubleshooting, failure analysis - Antenna system analysis - Product design and integration - Field support of emergent technology and proof of concept systems - Design of test methods and fixtures for radio and powerline carrier communication chipsets - Serving as a conduit from the engineering world to the sales, operations and business development side of the company
