ABOUT ELI JOSEL
For the love of music… Music has been a defining part of my life for as long as I can remember. The first album I ever listened to was Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band when I was three years old. I’ve taught myself how to play five different instruments. My friends no longer offer music recommendations because they assume (often correctly) that I’ve already listened to whatever they are suggesting. I’m at the point in my life where if I forget my headphones when leaving the house, my whole day is ruined. Music is not just a passion — it’s a personality trait. So it seemed only natural that it would inspire my professional path. I graduated from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College with a degree in Television and Radio with a concentration in Audio Production. Throughout my time at school, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to intern at some of the leading music companies in the country: MIBE, a leading music production library; ASCAP, the largest performing rights organization in the US; the Film/TV department at Sony/ATV Music Publishing; and the music supervision firm Supe Troop. My combined experience at these internships would further educate my career path, as I moved to Los Angeles in 2021 to pursue music supervision. While here, I’ve worked as Music Coordinator at two music publishers, PEN Music Group and GLOW Music Group, as well as Music Coordinator for VICE Media’s award winning documentary series VICE on Showtime. Since 2022, I\'ve been working as a DSP Coordinator at Universal Music Publishing. In my spare time, I co-produce and serve as the music director for Aggressively Alive, a monthly underground comedy showcase in West Hollywood. My professional goal is to combine my passion for music and film, creative instincts, and skills to curate music for visual media that amplifies the vision of the filmmaker.
