ABOUT ELHAM FAZELPOUR
I am a Computational chemist with over a year of post-PhD experience in physics-based molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecules. I enjoy collaborating, possess strong interpersonal skills, and am passionate about drug- discovery and therapeutics design using AI/ML methods.As a postdoctoral fellow, my research has focused on the allosteric networks in SARS-CoV-2’s nsp13 protein, which not only enhances fundamental scientific knowledge but also informs the development of targeted therapeutic interventions. Another active project I am working on explores the impact of glycosylation on the conformational ensemble of a specific group of transmembrane proteins, the heterotrimeric sarcoglycan complex (β, γ, δ).During my doctoral studies, I have actively participated in both fundamental and applied molecular modeling research. My research primarily highlighted driving forces in biomolecular dynamics and diffusion. I presented a simplified approach for determination of accurate hydrodynamic radii, one that shows quantitative accuracy with computationally expensive explicit molecular simulations.
