ABOUT ELETTRA DI GAETANO

My professional experiences mainly concern the linguistic and editorial field: I worked as an editor in a publishing house, I translated a book from English to Italian and some chapters of a manga from Japanese to English. I was an interpreter at the Museum of Oriental Art in Turin during the \"Japan Week\" event. I have been an Italian language tutor at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. I currently work in human resources as an IT recruiter and consultant. Thanks to this job I have the chance to meet new people every day and get to know many points of view, which is the key to every linguist. My goal is to help companies find new talents. I have a master\'s degree in English and Japanese translation, which has allowed me to try all aspects of specialized translation, from the legal field to the medical and museum\'s one. Since I have a strong passion for literary translation, I translated an unpublished novel from Japanese to Italian as part of my master\'s degree thesis. During my studies I learned how to use some of the best-known CAT Tools and linguistic corpora and still use them as a fundamental part of my job. Some info about me: I like to work in groups and find myself in international contexts. I\'m a big nerd. 🧩 In my spare time: I read novels I play video games I study Japanese (you never stop learning a language!)
