ABOUT ELEONORE DEROME

Corporate lawyer, advising clients on a wide range of corporate, financing, governance and commercial matters with particular expertise in negotiating complex commercial agreements, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, and corporate governance. Actively involved in the execution of buy-side and sell-side mandates across Canadian and cross-border transactions, equity and debt financings, corporate reorganizations, and other advisory mandates for public and private companies, financial institutions, institutional investors in Québec, and Crown corporations. Holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Montréal, a Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Science in International Business and Economics from HEC Montréal, as well as a certificate from Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Institute. Previously held a managerial role at a multinational corporation. Founding member of Young Canadians in Finance – Women’s Initiative and former executive committee member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Canadian Corporate Counsel section. Actively engaged in Canada’s arts and civic communities. Serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Montréal Museum of Contemporary Art and Chair of its Governance and Ethics Committee. Also Chair of the Board of Directors of Justice Pro Bono, supporting access to justice. Honoured as a Finalist for the Prix Arts-Affaires de Montréal, selected for the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, and recipient of HEC Montréal’s Prix Relève d’Excellence. Member of the International Women’s Forum, a global leadership organization.
