About Elena Sorokin

With 17+ years of experience in computational genetics including 7+ years in biotech, I lead R&D projects integrating statistical genetics, machine learning, bioinformatics, and data science. Recent initiatives at Calico have included developing a prognostic for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease using deep learning and epidemiology and identifying type 2 diabetes subtypes using high-dimensional phenotypes and partitioned genetic risk scores.
