ABOUT ELENA SHEARD

I’m a Biomedical Sciences graduate from the University of Manchester, where I earned a strong 2:1 and developed a particular interest in clinical research, in particular innovative treatment strategies for breast cancer. My academic background includes in-depth independent studies on therapies such as Tamoxifen and Palbociclib, which fuelled my passion for translating complex biomedical research into clear, engaging content.Throughout my degree, I refined my communication and public speaking skills by presenting to both peers and academics, always aiming to make complex scientific ideas accessible and concise. I consistently achieved first-class marks in coursework-based assignments, demonstrating my strengths in research, analysis, and scientific writing.Now, I’m pursuing a career in medical writing. I’m excited to contribute to impactful projects and collaborate with professionals who are equally passionate about communicating science.
