ABOUT YAO LI

My background makes me an ideal fit to work as a data scientist. Data science is closely interwoven with many other fields, and my knowledge in mathematics, economics, finance and AI is very applicable to this area. I’m passionate about solving problems using statistical methods as well as AI models. I have experience in building classical machine learning models as well as deep learning models such as computer vision models and natural language processing models. Through the projects of banking analytics, I developed a strong ability to predict credit risk using logistic regression with Elastic Net regularization, random forest, XGBoost and multimodal deep convolutional neural network models, through which I also found my passion in understanding AI models thoroughly and then deploying the most appropriate AI models (including reinforcement learning, deep reinforcement learning, LLM, etc) to solve real-world problems in the right way.
