About Elena Soranno

I am a Fall 2024 Graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Bachelor\'s of Science in Health: Science, Society, and Policy (Applied Public Health) as well as a minor in Environmental Studies. In my role at Entegris, Inc. as an Environmental Health & Safety Intern, I assisted with the maintenance and completion of state and local permitting and regulatory reports, including but not limited to TURA and SWPP Planning. Additionally, I adapted and updated global company safety procedures to align with state-specific regulations and site-specific needs. My team and I aimed to collaborate with cross functional groups to achieve success in implementing company-wide safety and culture initiatives. I am passionate about making resources more accessible. I have used qualitative and quantitative skills to analyze the scope of access and the usage of resources on the federal level and Massachusetts-State level; analyze the economic evaluation of program implementation. I completed this mission through Medicaid usage research, workforce wage rate data, and qualitative data to assist in policy analyzation, legislative writing, and to be used as evidence in Committee Hearings, heard by the Massachusetts State legislature in the consideration of new policy and bill creation.
