I have over 25 years of experience in media relations, marketing, public affairs and legislative affairs. My career began in Washington, DC working on international women\'s rights and health. After seven years in DC, I began my career in healthcare in 2006 in my dream job at Hilo Medical Center. Everyday I serve the community with 1,500 members of my family, friends and neighbors. The last 16 years have truly been an honor. I completed my Executive MBA with a concentration in healthcare in 2018 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Shidler College of Business - just as the pandemic took off. I advanced my education to be a better public servant in my dream job.
