I’m Element Everest-Blanks. I’m a cultural catalyst, strategist, curator, and producer redefining what leadership looks like in media. As Program Director of HYFIN, Milwaukee’s premier Black music and culture platform, I stand proudly among the fewer than 1% of Black women leading a media outlet in the U.S. But I’m not here just to represent a statistic I’m here to change the story.My journey didn’t follow a traditional script. I’ve earned my influence by building movements, not just resumes. From being one of the original 10 artists to launch Radio Milwaukee in 2007 to becoming a Grammy-voting member, international music delegate, cultural ambassador, and two-time Telly Award winner, my life’s work is rooted in vision, voice, and unapologetic authenticity.I don’t just report on culture I spark it, shape it, elevate it, and amplify it. I’ve aided creating and led nationally recognized initiatives like “HYFIN Verified” and “Mic Drop Moments”, each crafted to tell our stories with integrity, innovation, and intention. I’ve interviewed over 100 trailblazers from Killer Mike to Wynton Marsalis turning everyday conversations into moments of transformation.Whether I’m producing a show, curating a playlist, directing a major event, or mentoring the next generation of creatives, I make space for our truth to be heard and our legacy to be honored. My voice has powered national McDonald’s campaigns and film soundtracks, and my leadership drives cultural engagement from boardrooms to global stages. In other words, I am “The Culture Plug.” I don’t just lead a station. I aid in building platforms, cultivate purpose, and produce momentum. I am a bullhorn for the unheard and I’m redefining the 1%, one bold story at a time.
