About Rob Anderson
I’m an experienced Project Engineering Manager with a lifelong foundation in electrical engineering, instrumentation, and industrial automation. Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of industries—including pulp and paper, glass manufacturing, automotive, and nuclear—taking on roles in design, installation, programming, and full-scale project leadership.My technical background includes deep hands-on experience with instrumentation (level, temperature, flow, pressure, velocity), VFD systems (low and medium voltage with IGBT technology), and functional safety (TÜV Rheinland certified). I’ve led the design and deployment of advanced systems using Ethernet, 10BaseT, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and more, including large-scale DCS and SCADA implementations. I’m equally comfortable with sensors, robots, and control networks as I am with Gantt charts, risk assessments, and budget forecasts.As a project manager, I’m known for delivering on time and on budget—even with complex technical scopes. I can take a high-level strategy and manage all the details, or I can step into design engineering when needed. I’m also comfortable leading other engineers and guiding teams through the full project lifecycle.On the personal side, I’m deeply grounded in family. I prioritize being near my wife, children, siblings, nieces, and nephews, and as a result, I prefer to remain local to my area. That said, I’m open to remote work and light travel as needed. While I could return to programming roles with some retooling, I’m currently best suited for positions in engineering leadership or senior-level project/design engineering.My career has been shaped by real-world results, hands-on problem-solving, and a steady evolution of skills—and I’m always looking for meaningful ways to contribute.
