I work to increase and improve good job opportunities for people worldwide, and to better understand the complex linkages between development, employment and skills. As a Technical Advisor with FHI 360\'s Global Education department, I provide technical leadership and guidance on the design and implementation of higher education and workforce development programs and labor market assessment tools. Currently, my work includes projects in LAC and Ukraine. As Project Director of the USAID-funded Workforce Connections Project, I developed a guide to carrying out labor market assessments and worked to build a global workforce development Community of Practice.

ABOUT ELEANOR SOHNEN
Eleanor is an experienced international development professional. She draws upon her deep analytic, quantitative, communications and intercultural skills to design and manage research and international development projects. She is an expert in education, labor market, and migration policies and interventions. Fluent in Spanish, she is an effective collaborator and liaison with a wide range of international and domestic stakeholders from the public, private, donor, and academic sectors, and has authored numerous professional publications on economic development and international migration, with a particular focus on Mexico and Central America. She and her work have been cited in media outlets including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Reuters, as well as REFORMA and El Economista (Mexico).
