I am a Partner with MHBC who joined the firm in 2002, specializing in land use planning and urban design. I hold an Honours Bachelor Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo and a Masters Degree in Urban Design Studies from the University of Toronto. I am also trained in facilitating design charrettes under the NCI Charrette System. I specialize in providing design and sustainable development services to public and private sector clients across Ontario. My experience includes the application of urban design and sustainable initiatives through policy preparation, site design analysis, community visioning, design briefs and community design guidelines. I am also trained in conducting intensive design charrettes to help establish places of distinction and create value in a community. My land use planning experience includes a broad range of development planning and project management projects which includes successfully obtaining approvals for Subdivisions, Condominiums, Site Plans, Official Plan and Zoning By law Amendments, Consents, Minor Variances and Building Permits. I have also undertaken special studies and associated research, provided expert evidence at Ontario Municipal Board and made numerous presentations to Committees, Council and the general public.I am a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, the Ontario Professional Planning Institute, and I am a registered professional planner.
