ABOUT ELBA FLAMENCO

I’m a product manager, producer, writer, and video generalist with 10+ years of experience in digital media and entertainment. I’m a user-centric PM interested in the intersection of content, technology, and distribution in the streaming video era.Currently, I’m the Video Product Manager for Nexstar Media Inc. and am on the team that oversees video across the company’s network of local news station websites, mobile apps, and OTT channels. The focus is on creating a first-in-class digital video department at Nexstar, and an optimal viewing experience for end-users.Prior to that, my positions have been a combination of content, operations, and product combined. During my time at Ovation TV, I oversaw a digital team that was responsible for developing, launching, and growing the JOURNY AVOD streaming service. As Product Owner, I was responsible for working with all internal stakeholders to deliver this multi-platform brand on platforms like Roku, Xumo, Android, iOS and other OTT platforms. Within a year, under my leadership, we’d grown our subscriber base to over 1MM users, organically. Prior to that, I oversaw YouTube Operations at Defy Media where I oversaw the BREAK brand, including its content licensing business and video network operations. There I had to opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams to grow our YouTube Network reach and influence.I’m passionate about diversity, representation, and inclusion in the technology industry and am always interested in hearing about opportunities to contribute to the community. I’m a member of Women of Color Unite, We All Grow Latina Network, Techqueria, and Latinas in Technology.
