About Elayne Zhou

PhD candidate with 4 years full-time management experience in academic and clinical research settings, and 3 years clinical experience in a community clinic setting and clinical experience in a hospital setting with perinatal/postpartum populations. I use ACT, CBT, and DBT in individual and group therapy formats, working with children, adults, families, and groups presenting with a range of concerns. I also trained in delivering EFT to couples. Additionally, I conduct neuropsychological assessments and testing with adults for neurodevelopmental disorders. My research aims to make therapy more relevant, sensitive, and accessible for underserved groups (e.g, youth, communities of color, immigrants, low-income individuals), to promote wellbeing and reduce gaps in health outcomes between groups.
