Representation & Advocacy:Act as the official representative of the national gas sector within IGU, engaging with global stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders.Advocate for national interests in IGU discussions, working groups, and strategic initiatives.Provide insights on regional gas industry developments, regulatory frameworks, and market trends to IGU committees and members.Strategic Collaboration & Policy Development:Work closely with IGU committees to contribute to global discussions on gas policy, sustainability, and energy transition.Support the development of international gas industry best practices, regulations, and standards.Facilitate alignment between national energy strategies and global gas industry trends.Industry Engagement & Knowledge Sharing:Promote knowledge exchange between IGU and local gas industry stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector players, and research institutions.Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and technical forums to foster collaboration and innovation.Provide national stakeholders with insights on IGU’s initiatives, reports, and policy recommendations.Project & Working Group Participation:Actively engage in IGU working groups, contributing technical expertise and industry insights.Lead or support projects focused on gas market development, sustainability, decarbonization, and emerging technologies.Monitor and assess the impact of IGU policies on the national gas sector and recommend necessary actions.Reporting & Communication:Prepare reports, position papers, and presentations summarizing IGU activities, outcomes, and their implications for the national industry.Maintain regular communication with IGU leadership, ensuring national representation in key discussions.Provide updates to government agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders on international gas industry developments.
