DIRECTOR, CYBERSECURITY STRATEGIC SUPPORT (20••••19) SCOPE: Own all facets of strategic planning and vision for cybersecurity partnerships for this banking/financial services enterprise. Spearhead the design and enhancement of domestic and global strategic partnerships with academic and non-academic institutions to fuel innovation and accelerate the talent pipeline. Architect collaborative research programs, mitigate risk, and provide solutions for competitive advantage. Serve as coach and mentor for Scotiabank Ignition Program. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS: Partnered collaboratively with a Canadian University on 3-day branded cybersecurity educational event and multi-day career events. Cultivated partnership with a Cyber Girls Ambassador program to create a 2-day cybersecurity event for students from ages 11-14. Cultivated key partnerships, such as a Cybersecurity consortium and a veteran organization, negotiating contracts. TALENT DEVELOPMENT/PIPELINE: Architected a 3-year strategic cybersecurity partnership strategy and talent pipeline strategy. Serve on the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity Advisory Board, providing strategic planning and academic goal advancement initiatives. Imagined and executed an industry-wide Cybersecurity Hackathon Challenge for the Canadian Bankers Association-Educational Alliance Working Group to attract cybersecurity talent (cancelled due to pandemic). Chaired the Canadian Bankers Association Cybersecurity Educational Alliance Working Group, crafting strategies for attracting elite talent. Chaired the Talent Management Working Group for the Canadian Financial Services Cybersecurity Governance Council, identifying talent gaps and recommending solutions to address talent shortages to industry, academia, and government.
