ABOUT ELAHEH GHASEMI
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UBC Faculty of Forestry, I apply my operations research and logistics skills to support the development of sustainable forest management practices. I have a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Université Laval, where I focused on optimizing the supply chain of the forest products. I had an opportunity to gain more experiences as a Research Assistant at FORAC, a research consortium that provides innovative solutions for the forest industry. I also have participated in several public-private forest projects in Quebec. I am passionate about using data and technology to address the challenges and opportunities of the forest sector, and to contribute to the transition to a green economy. I am eager to collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders who share this vision and mission.
