Before my transition into accounting and corporate finance roles, I began my career as scientist working in the lab and at hospitals, with a focus in Genetics and Clinical Medical Epidemiology. I have a deep passion and solid understanding of life science companies at their core. This foundation, combined with more than 14 years of extensive accounting and finance experience as a CPA in providing extensive accounting and finance leadership enables me to bring a uniquely informed perspective to strategic financial planning, scaling operations, and driving growth in the biopharmaceutical and medical technology sectors. Co-built the accounting functions and IPO readiness at 2 successful IPOs—NASDAQ: CRSP and NASDAQ: KLDO. Established Internal controls framework for SOX Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and multiple industry frameworks/regulations including SOC/SSAE, COSO — (NASDAQ: MOTS, NASDAQ: CRSP, NASDAQ: KLDO, NASDAQ: ATHN) Created the SEC financial reporting functions from the ground up at 3 life science and tech companies, including 10-K, 10Q, 8-K, S-1, and S-3 — (NASDAQ: MOTS, CRSP, and KLDO).
