This project involved with testing of silicon chips, preparation of chips such as polishing and free space optical setups for characterization of electrical and optical properties of those chips.Ultrafast pulse shaping and characterization: Worked on high speed measurement in time domain and frequency domain including design and development of silicon based autocorrelation and cross correlation devices, high speed pulse measurements, RF domain noise characterization and measurement. I also designed and implemented silicon based FROG measurement system.Waveguide design and modeling: Investigate optimum waveguide designs for various applications. The work involved with optical and electrical characterization using software such as RSoft and Femlab.In addition, experienced in Optical Coherent Tomography (OCT, a free space Michelson interferometer) and two photon microscopy (TPM) system.
