ABOUT ELIZABETH MINIFIE

I’m passionate about building systems that help people—especially children and their caregivers—feel confident, competent, and equipped to thrive. I believe that strong education and equitable access to healthcare are foundational to a just society, and that both systems must work together to support healthy development from childhood onward.To better understand how upstream interventions shape lifelong outcomes, I studied Public Health and Organizational Leadership at William & Mary. I then joined Teach For America in the Bay Area, where I taught first grade at a Title I school in Oakland and earned my Master’s in Education. There, I witnessed how systemic inequities impact child development and family wellbeing. In response, I led community programs focused on literacy, wellness, and belonging—deepening my commitment to addressing the social determinants of health through collaborative, people-centered work.Now, I’m bringing my experience in education, public health, and systems leadership to the world of pediatric healthcare—where I’m focused on designing people-centered, equity-driven solutions that empower children, families, and communities.
