ABOUT EKIN SENLET

I represent energy and telecommunications clients in administrative proceedings before the New York State Public Service Commission and other state and local agencies. I concentrate my practice in complex legal issues including transmission line siting, utility rate cases, cable company mergers, regulatory compliance and regulatory proceedings for energy service companies (ESCOs). I also assist renewable energy clients with obtaining permits for innovative energy projects. In addition, I have been counseling clients on zoning and municipal and real property tax issues. I received both my law degree and M.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University. During law school, I served as the Associate Notes Editor for the Syracuse Law Review. I also completed an Externship at the City of Syracuse, Office of the Corporation Counsel. Prior to attending law school, I worked at the Istanbul Offices of Procter & Gamble in the Business Development and Marketing Department. I am a member of Barclay Damon’s Women’s Forum, a group that fosters both professional development of the firm’s women attorneys and relationships between the firm’s women attorneys and other women professionals in the community. I am also a member of the firm’s Summer Associate Committee and the Wellness Committee.
