ABOUT EKIN D. CINAR
I am an Associate in Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. I am a dual-qualified lawyer (Ontario and Istanbul). My practice focuses on litigation and arbitration, with particular expertise in matters related to the construction, mining, and shipping sectors. I help my clients to protect and operate their businesses in distressed situations and overcome their disputes. Before transitioning to practice in Canada in 2019, I worked in Türkiye for nearly ten years, advising a wide range of local and international clients on their disputes. I have acted as counsel in numerous international arbitration proceedings in relation to construction, mergers and acquisitions, shipping and agency matters and gained experience in international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration. I also have experience in cross-border enforcement proceedings.I am based in Toronto, and I work in English, French, and Turkish.
