About Ekene Osakwe

I am a Research Project Manager at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where I lead and coordinate research efforts on the Health Equity and Justice in Medicine (HEJM) initiative. With over 12 years of experience in the global health field, I have a strong background in designing and implementing programs that improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations, especially women and children, in development and humanitarian settings. My core competencies include project management, monitoring and evaluation, quantitative and qualitative research, stakeholder management, technical report writing, and presentation skills. I have demonstrated these skills in multiple proposals, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences, as well as in the development and launch of a Podcast that facilitates critical discussions on global health issues. I am passionate about advancing health equity and justice advocacy efforts through evidence-based and community-driven approaches. I hold an MSc in Global Health from Duke University and several certifications in public health and policy.
