When I was little, I wanted to be a diplomat.I dreamed of standing at the UN, hearing the words: “And now, the Chairperson of the Security Council, Madam Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Ekaterina Maskaeva, will speak.” I was fascinated by the idea of influencing history and changing lives.While I may not have become an ambassador in the traditional sense, I’ve found my own way to influence the world—through learning and change. Over time, I’ve realized that diplomacy isn’t just about nations and treaties; it’s about people. It’s about understanding their needs, aligning them with a larger vision, and fostering growth.It’s also about bringing teams together across boundaries—whether cultural, organizational, or technological—to create learning experiences that empower individuals and drive meaningful change. I may not invent a cure for cancer or discover a new planet, but I know I can play a role in ensuring the people who will do these things have the skills, tools, and inspiration they need to succeed.Through my work, I help people unlock their potential, nurturing their curiosity, their desire to experiment, and their drive to explore new horizons.
