ABOUT EKATERINA SHERIDAN
I’m a passionate chemist with a unique blend of Material Science, and Polymer Chemistry. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Sam Houston State University, followed by a Master’s in Material Science from the University of Stuttgart. I am now completing my PhD in Polymer Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces (MPIKG), under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Markus Antonietti. My research focuses on wood chemistry, particularly lignin, nano lignin, and suberin, with a strong commitment to sustainable and innovative applications. Driven by a mission to support the shift toward environmentally-friendly materials, I am most interested in sustainable packaging, biopolymers, bio composites, and efficient product development. My experience as a sustainability consultant has further fueled my ambition to contribute to a greener future. I’m always eager to connect with like-minded professionals who share an interest in sustainable innovation, and I’m open to exploring new opportunities in product development, consulting, or R&D.
