The FEWH fellowship is a competitive year-long program that provides five HBCU graduates and emerging journalists with mentorship and professional development in reporting, audience engagement and product management tracks- Writes breaking news, quick-hit, feature and enterprise stories for the publication’s online platforms, centering topics related to race, gender, and politics- Pitches and produces in-depth stories that extend The 19th’s mission to serve women of color and LGBTQ+ communities, such as amplifying the voices and nuanced experiences of Native American women, Black women and refugee women- Collaborated with two other reporting fellows and, together, we produced storytelling projects that featured the untold stories of Black women who led their community during the Civil Rights Movement, and how Black women were emotionally preparing for Trump\'s second administration.
