I am a pragmatist who engineers software to solve problems and bring value to the business.I am working at J.P. Morgan & Co.(NYSE:JPM) alongside the Investment Bank Rates Technology and Quantitative Research organisations developing and supporting the portfolio analytics, risk, and profit and loss stack, leveraging the Athena platform and artificial intelligence tools to power global macro financing trading desks.I care deeply about growth. I am interested in financial technology, economics, finance, investments, quantitative analysis, portfolio management, hedge funds and the intersection of these with artificial intelligence/machine learning technologies. I focus on the C++ and Python development ecosystems. I love reading, writing, music, and traveling.Before my current position, I worked as a software engineer at ASML’s Metrology department developing calibration and performance diagnostic applications for deep ultra-violet photolithography machines. Before ASML, I worked at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center’s awarded joint research center with Repsol S.A. My focus was the intersection of machine learning and CSEM inversion for hydrocarbon exploration. Right after completing my PhD, I contributed with Museality LLC, a startup in where I got to wear many hats alongside the founder.My PhD work included parallel computing and the design and development of a software library for numerical partial differential equations to simulate subsurface mass transport. Applications of this work include CO2 geologic sequestration and enhanced oil recovery. For my MSc, I worked with R&D staff from Repsol USA to optimize simulations of seismic wave propagation. My undergraduate is in computer science. I worked in modeling geothermal energy production to design and develop a CAD tool to optimize the design of geothermal power plants by simulating their production process.
