Objective: To provide telecommunication engineering services to the Internal Services Department (ISD) Telecommunications Infrastructure Section. Design, engineer and implement microwave radio system engineering projects for the county. Maintain the County-owned terrestrial microwave network digital backbone. Design infrastructures directly and independently from concept to implementation to meet user telecommunications requirements of complex public safety FCC licensed and unlicensed microwave systems involving equipment selections, specifications and procurements, statement of work preparations and publications, project coordination, and installation, testing and commissioning of new and existing telecommunication microwave links, and fiber and copper span-electronics. Provide user defined circuit line card solutions, prepare and submit telecommunication project proposals, cost estimates and timeline sat all user levels. Attend and participates in project management solution-meetings, conduct site visits in coordination with other engineering disciplines. Contact customer directly regarding related projects, evaluate and validate site facility assets. Provide system designs using standard telecommunication practices, project planning and execution, microwave link operating frequency search coordination, project timeline coordination, preparation of technical statements and drawings in support of detailed shop-directed job specifications covering installation, testing, and commissioning, and user circuit tine card preparation and publication at any or all digital signal levels
