About Ethan Chatfield
Backend software engineer specializing in scalable, distributed systems. I\'m currently a founding member of the Digital Communications team at Symetra, where I designed and built a company-wide communications platform from prototype to a production system powering email, SMS, and web notifications across the company.I like understanding how things work under the hood. I\'m especially interested in the harder problems in distributed systems: designing for scale, building reliable event-driven architectures, and making complex systems easy to observe and debug.
