About E. Jay Foster
Mid-career financial services professional, having returned to graduate school to earn master’s degrees in (i) Professional Accounting and (ii) Taxation … and holding CPA licenses in Texas and Colorado seeks to transition career to accounting and tax. Equipment leasing clients predominately were middle-market private entities, but extend to the Fortune 100. A broad set of professional experiences allow me to apply the following skills: • Analytical and consulting skills through the performance of underwriting (including workouts and debt restructurings), credit management, and consultative sales roles; • Business development and client management skills through the performance of sales (including the sale of tax-related leases), and sales-management roles: • Team development and mentoring skills through the performance of numerous managerial roles where I led various regional, multi-regional, and national units while holding P&L responsibilities. My passion as a provider of equipment leasing services, and more recently as a workout practitioner, was two-fold. First, I have a passion for helping privately-held middle-market entities reorganize and stabilize their financial and business positioning, thus extending their corporate life and avoiding bankruptcy. Secondly, I believe strongly that financings, including lease financings, must be structured in a manner which matches the client’s financing needs with the operational and tax realities of their business.
