About Eileen K.

During my tenure at the U.S. Department of State, I spearheaded political accountability for human rights violations in Europe and Eurasia and was at the forefront of the Department\'s efforts to promote accountability following Russia\'s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. My academic journey at George Washington University\'s Elliott School of International Affairs honed my expertise and expanded my network within esteemed institutions including the State Department, the United Nations, influential think tanks, and Congress. Through rigorous academic training and professional engagements, I refined my qualitative research, analysis, persuasive writing, and oral communication skills. Before transitioning into international relations, I contributed to Seattle\'s private sector by facilitating connections between job seekers and local businesses. I also advised hiring managers on strategies to adapt to Seattle\'s rising minimum wage. This diverse background underscores my adaptability and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.I\'m passionate about women\'s leadership in international affairs, inclusive peace processes, U.S. diplomacy, human rights, and the nexus between domestic and foreign policy. I think a lot about the world\'s biggest problems and I\'ve seen firsthand that building relationships and fostering collaboration are key to progress.Ask any of my previous employers: I\'m a team player who knows how to get things done! I firmly believe in \"getting a foot in the door\" to showcase my capabilities through tangible actions and contributions.
