I\'m an accomplished writer and storyteller who can create a clear message for any brand. From independent films to British television shows to Finnish deli cheeses, I\'ve created and written successful PR and ad campaigns that connect with audiences using humor and heart. I started my career as a film publicist, writing press releases and creating events to promote small, beautiful films that would have otherwise been overshadowed by Hollywood blockbusters. I continued my career in publicity at BBC America, promoting superb British programming in the U.S. In my spare time I started writing and performing stand-up comedy and decided I wanted to be able to use my sense of humor in my career, so I took a position as a copywriter in a small advertising agency. Once I proved my worth, I was given all clients that wanted to use humor to deliver their message. When I began landing more work as a performer, I decided to leave advertising to focus on my comedy career. I co-founded an all-female sketch group called Hits Like A Girl, for which I was the head writer as well as a performer. I booked a few commercials and continued to perform stand-up while doing some freelance writing and editing. Three children later, I was tapped to do a humor blog on motherhood for Lifetime Moms, a website by Lifetime Network. Over my three years with Lifetime Moms, I was consistently their most shared writer. Readers commented that they identified with me and my stories. There is nothing I enjoy more than connecting with people through my writing.Now I\'m looking for a new opportunity. One where I can use my talent and skills to amplify the message of a brand I believe in.
