ABOUT EILA PADILLA

I have always had a passion for learning and exploring new opportunities. I was an international student and graduated with a diploma in finance from the University of Lethbridge. I am eager to further my knowledge in the field of accounting and eventually get my CPA designation. As a highly adaptable and driven professional, I have gained valuable experience in the retail and food industries, where I have honed various skills like effectively identifying the price of goods and tabulating the total payment required using electronic and other cash registers; exceeding the quarterly sales goal in a year, resulting in a promotion to shift manager; reviewing audits and reconciling nightly sales transactions by balancing cash registers and reporting discrepancies; and following strict confidentiality protocols to protect customers\' private information. Currently, I am utilizing these skills in my role as an admin at an accounting firm, where I am responsible for managing various tasks and ensuring the timely completion of work deadlines. My experience has taught me the importance of being able to thrive in fast-paced environments and work well under pressure. I am a quick learner and have a strong attention to detail, which allows me to excel in any task given to me. Furthermore, my passion for continuous learning has led me to take on new challenges and expand my skill set. I am a team player and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve common goals. My excellent communication skills have enabled me to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients alike. I am also proficient in various software and tools, making me a valuable asset to any team. Recently, I took on a new challenge and started a food business in the Philippines. This has allowed me to expand my strategic skills, time management, and business management abilities. In addition to my academic and professional experience, I am also actively involved in my community. I strongly believe in giving back, and I volunteer at local non-profit organizations, where I am able to make a positive impact and help those in need. I was also a mentor for international students, guiding them through their academic and personal journeys. As the past CPA Campus Ambassador at my university, I had the opportunity to share my passion for accounting with others and encourage them to pursue a career in this field. I am constantly seeking ways to improve myself, both personally and professionally.
