I am interested in and very passionate about research and development in various areas of Materials Science and Engineering - Major in Materials Selection, Development, and Characterization (for both organic and inorganic materials and biomaterials):> Development and characterization of cardiovascular (flow-diverting) stents.> Bio-/materials and tissue engineering [e.g, rapidly mineralizing hybridized bone scaffolds and dental glass ionomer cements (GICs)]> 3D-bioprinting of collagen-based bioinks > Viscoelastic properties of materials including soft matters (e.g, hydrogels) and biofluids/blood (e.g, measuring the clotting characteristics of blood in contact with various materials and medical devices such as hemostatic agents)> Synthesis of nanoparticles (e.g, bioactive glass/ceramic nanoparticles) via sol-gel > Surface functionalization processes for improving inorganic/organic interfacial adhesion (e.g, between sol-gel-derived nanoparticles and biobased polymers, etc)> Heat treatment and crystallization of inorganic and polymeric materials as well as their bio-/mineralization processes > Production of highly porous membranes of (nano-)fibers via electrospinning of phase-separated ternary solutions > Production of highly porous materials with tunable properties via sustainable, template-free foaming methods (e.g, nonsolvent induced phase separation (NIPS), CO2-assisted, etc)> Advanced ceramics, sintering, and joining processes (e.g, vacuum brazing)> Advanced materials characterization methods (including morphological, structural, compositional, mechanical, thermal, and rheological characterizations)
