ABOUT CEDRIC EHOUARNE
I\'m an economist by training with a career built around consumer finance - how households borrow, spend, invest, and respond to risk. I gravitate toward problems that require both analytical depth and practical judgment. My work sits at the intersection of economics, modeling, credit strategy, and risk management, with a focus on how credit products and financial decisions evolve over the business cycle.I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, where my research examined contagion risk in consumer credit markets. After graduating, I joined Bank of America\'s Model Risk Management group and progressed from AVP to Managing Director. Over the past decade, my work has spanned credit risk, consumer lending, and wealth management models - moving from hands‑on analytics to leading teams, shaping strategy, and strengthening how risk functions support the business.I\'ve led efforts to modernize risk workflows, introduce AI‑enabled processes, streamline monitoring, and make model‑driven activities easier for partners across Risk, Finance, Technology, and the business. I enjoy bringing clarity to ambiguity, designing solutions that are rigorous and practical, and helping teams execute with discipline and speed.Looking ahead, I\'m energized by work at the intersection of consumer finance, credit products, and modern risk practices. I\'m particularly interested in how credit cards, fintech, and digital wealth continue to reshape financial behavior - and in roles where analytical rigor, leadership, and innovation support better decisions.Skills• Strong communication skills; explain complex concepts to broad audiences• Business‑oriented mindset; simplify processes and improve execution• Cross‑functional leadership; work effectively with Business, Risk, Finance, and Technology• Creative problem‑solving; design practical solutions to complex risk and modeling challenges• Deep expertise in consumer finance and credit risk, especially credit cardsEducation• Ph.D. in Economics (minor in Finance), Carnegie Mellon University• M.S. in Economics, Carnegie Mellon University• M.S. in Economics, Université du Québec à Montréal• Licence d\'Économie, Université François Rabelais de ToursExperience• Managing Director, BofA - Model Risk Officer, Head of Enablement• Director, BofA - Quantitative Finance Manager• VP / AVP, BofA - Quantitative Finance AnalystAwards• Alexander Henderson Award for Excellence in Economic Theory• William Larimer Mellon Fellowship• UQAM‑FARE Scholarship
