ABOUT ELIZABETH HOCHBERG
For 20 years now I have been a senior administrative attorney and digital legal strategist for the U.S. federal government. I find paths forward through foreign affairs, cybersecurity, AI, federal procurement, fiscal, security, privacy, federal records, and ethics laws for federal agencies to use emerging technologies in our delivery of services to the American taxpayer. In the past decade I have found myself in the international sphere, working for foreign financial federal assistance agencies. In my current role I am the Associate General Counsel assigned to support the State Department\'s embassy inspection, audit, and investigatory teams. The work is unique and fascinating, drawing on my years of learning broad general and administrative law. This past year has been particularly challenging as State has absorbed USAID\'s functions, merging staff and mission. Every day is an opportunity for growth and to learn something new.Specialties: foreign financial federal asisstance and development finance, federal cybersecurity, AI, federal ethics, federal appropriations/fiscal law, federal IT and category management (including negotiating EULAs and TOS\'s), social media law, privacy law, prize/challenge competitions, mobile phone applications, cloud computing, federal records, GAO bid protests, HR adverse actions, and EEO/MSPB litigation.
