   I served in my second stint as Acting Chief of the FCC Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA) from February 2021 to May 2023 (my first stint as Acting Chief was from October 2018 to April 2019.) As Deputy Chief of IGA, I direct attorneys and support staff in carrying out IGA’s successful mission of creating and implementing a comprehensive, proactive program of outreach to state, local and tribal governments, organizations representing governmental entities and other federal agencies. My mission also includes improving intergovernmental and public understanding of FCC programs, policies, rules and decisions; facilitating and conducting information exchange on telecommunications issues and promoting intergovernmental cooperation and coordination to enhance federal-state relationships. This also includes a special project to help the FCC Connect2Health Program build strategic alliances with key stakeholders in underserved areas to link to broadband technologies and next generation communications services to improve access to health care services and helping to coordinate the FCC Intergovernmental Advisory Committee of state and local officials.
