ABOUT EDWARD HASECKE
As the Dean and Executive Director of Lutheran College Washington Semester (LCWS), I oversee the academic and administrative aspects of a program that provides students from 16 colleges and universities with a transformative experience in the nation\'s capital. I have been in this role since July 2021, after serving as a Professor of Political Science for nineteen years.With a Ph.D. in Political Science from The Ohio State University and a B.A. in Political Science from Wittenberg University, I have a strong background and interest in public policy and civic education. I am passionate about creating opportunities for students to develop their personal, professional, and civic identities through experiential learning and community engagement. I am also committed to fostering partnerships and collaborations between LCWS and various stakeholders, such as faculty, alumni, community organizations, and policy makers.
