I have a passion for clean, maintainable, simple applications that can be deployed with confidence. I have been developing applications professionally since 2005, and have built applications for a number of household brands.Having originally focused on.net and the Microsoft ecosystem, in the last few years I have been working with JavaScript on the server (node.js) as well as the front end, alongside some well known frameworks like React and Angular. I particularly enjoy the elegance and conciseness of functional JavaScript.I like to think that I am technology agnostic and focused on product delivery.One of my main skills is performance tuning web applications to deliver more value. I am well versed in the tooling that can help to diagnose performance bottlenecks in web applications (such as Google Lighthouse).I maintain a development and technology blog at http://edspencer.me.uk, which is my attempt at giving something back to the community.My skills and considered approach are recognised in the industry. I have been approached to be a technical reviewer for a number of published technical books because of this.
