I work in the Apple Services Engineering organization leading two essential engineering teams dedicated to developing core services for Apple’s cloud computing infrastructure.Team Leadership: I manage a distributed team of engineers and managers based in Cupertino, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Seattle. My leadership includes: business strategy, product, and engineering architecture.Key Responsibilities:* Observability Data Collection: My team develops and maintains agents and systems that gather critical data from across our infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive visibility into system performance and behavior.* Observability Analytics: My team provides a data pipeline and Lakehouse stack build on OSS to enable teams to analyze the collected data to identify trends, predict potential issues, and provide actionable insights.* Observability UI/UX: My team designs, deploys, and operates GUIs and CLI interfaces and tools for our Observability platform.* Capacity and Quota Management: My team designs, developers, and operates a quota management systems that’s at the heart of Apple’s capacity management lifecycle. This systems enables teams at Apple to get cloud computing capacity and offloads the capacity management lifecycle from the platform service teams providing the resources.
