ABOUT VI LIM

The one thing which really fascinates me is the interconnection between different things. Just as how I like putting together people, I found myself exceptionally drawn to connecting people and linking up ideas. Throughout my Law degree in UCL, I have been actively involved in pro-bono projects and social impact forums which convinced me that Law is a useful toolkit to make a positive impact. My strength in advocacy was discovered with UCL\'s mooting competitions where I ranked 3rd among 144 participants, and mock trial competitions where I made it into the semi-finals. As central bank scholar, I naturally have a firm interest in Economics and institutional management. These pursuits are realised through my current post as the President and Chief Executive of the Association of Malaysian Economic Undergraduate (AMEU) to oversee both our UK and MY office with 71 executives. In my tenure, I aim to bring my personal interest in multidisciplinary learning to an organisational and even national level by offering a fresh perspective to look at Economics and learning. Furthermore, the fast-pace changes that we see with the rise of technology excites me. As the cybersecurity officer with the UCL Legal Tech society, I work to sharpen my sense of risk management and understand the regulatory frameworks which these new ideas develop in. Concurrently, I am also piloting new ways of learning in a co-founded EdTech startup. With all of these combined, I am happy to have an diversified palette to work with while remaining focused on my one true purpose - which is to deliver value wherever I go and in whatever I do. Hence, I will continue to connect, create, and give.
