About Erin Masterson
I am an epidemiologist with experience in academic, clinical, healthcare, and governmental settings. My publication record is linked below. I’m open to opportunities that will capitalize on my experiences and grow my knowledge in the life sciences industry. I have a passion for accentuating the patient voice and illuminating rare and poorly understood conditions. I have a successful track record of working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop scientifically robust proposals and tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of clients. In partnership with a patient advocacy non-profit foundation, I designed and direct the first disease registry for a pediatric infective and/or autoimmune neurological spectrum disorder. We designed the database to support new scientific initiatives aimed at driving biomarker discovery and therapeutic development to improve outcomes for this understudied patient population.I have extensive experience triangulating real-world data (RWD) sources (from registries, surveys, electronic medical records (EMRs), and claims databases) to derive scientific and clinical insights and drive impact by generating and leveraging real-world evidence (RWE).Additional skills: → team leadership & mentoring junior scientists → end-to-end project management→ budgeting→ proposal writing→ time management & organization → presentation & dissemination of findings→ statistical analysis and data management (SAS)I am results-oriented and have a deadline-driven work ethic. I have a penchant for problem-solving, willingness to tackle challenges head-on, and ability to effectively unify stakeholders and foster consensus. I am an inclusive teammate and thrive on teams that value collaboration, quality, work-life balance and impact, aiming to better patient outcomes and experiences. Beyond my professional life, I appease my innate curiosity and passion for learning through cruising the Pacific Northwest on a wooden boat built in 1932, sailing, and renovating unique properties.
