Currently, I am working as a Gulf of Mexico Drilling Engineering Manager in Houston, supporting drilling operations in the Thunder Hourse Team. Previously, I was working a as a Senior/Lead Drilling Engineer in a South Texas Eagle Ford Horizontal Drilling Program and Integrity Engineer for all asset in North America Gas. In my role, I was accountable for the integrity of well design, compliance with Goverment Regulations and BP Policies and lead a continuous improvement strategy.For the last 6-1/2 years, specifically when I was working in the technology group, I have been mentored by advisers and specialists in the areas of wellbore stability, tubular design and drilling fluids. In my last 3 roles in BP, I have been given the opportunity to take-over the responsibilities of Sr. and Lead Drilling Engineers in Wyoming, New Mexico, Gulf of Mexico (shelf) and South Louisiana. I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 2002, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and joined BP in July 2002 as a challenge drilling engineer for the Rockies BU in Houston, Texas.Specialties: HPHT Well Design, Expandable Solid Tubulars, Drilling Efficiency, Well Cost Estimate, Casing Design, Knowledge Management, Technology Development and Implementation, Continuous Improvement, MS Teams, SharePoint.
